Pondering Political Process

Process is simply the steps we take to get something accomplished.  If you have worked a job of any kind you have probably felt like the person in the picture above. It is part of life to have to learn a process someone else has developed.  It is usually a challenge because all brains work differently, yet in life, we are required to learn processes that just do not seem to make sense.  The reason for process is to produce an accurate and trustworthy result or product whether it is customer service or a computer program.  I was a medical technologist for decades and the science of medicine demands  strict and accurate processes. Years ago when I had started a new job, I was learning the process of maintaining patient ID as we took samples to be tested from a single tube of blood drawn from the patient and created test tubes to be distributed throughout the lab for testing, I became confused.   Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.   A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself; The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

How The Law Became A Burden

Have you ever wondered how the Jewish Law became such a burden?  "And you experts in the law, woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them."  I have wondered how this burden came to be and God showed me a picture of a beautifully set table. I have been very intimidated by a beautifully and correctly laid table because I was not familiar with what utensil to use when or what food was to be placed on which plate. The beautifully set tables at which I have been seated were always filled with others who knew the ropes whle I hesitated, watched and tried to follow their lead.  Most Jews in Jesus' day were in exactly the same confusing place when it came to figuring out what God wanted from them, endeavoring to follow those who knew the deal without understanding the why or the wherefore.
